Ram support for new MOBO !

Im looking at buying a new mobo and some ram, just a little ? as im going to be using an old CPU till i get a new CPU to go with MOBO, what ram should i buy !

And my old cpu is Athlon IIX2 245 2.9GHz,1MB,65W,SocketAM3 im on a budget of under 100 quid at the moment for the ram and mobo, also ill be running an Asus HD 6850 DirectCU V2 1024MB GDDR5 i know the cpu is old but it will have to do for now, so any advice would be great on what ram to put in the mobo.

That RAM will work fine in that motherboard.

Also having the above MOBO and RAM will my old CPU downgrade the speed of the ram ? No matter if it does as i said i will be replacing the CPU in few week's.
