RAM testing.

I have some DDR3 RAM that I want to test I think this is what is causing me issues. Will it have any affect on my ram currently running at 2400mhz if I put it in next to it? I would like to run a memory test on it. What's the program called? Memtest86? Or something.

If this is a second kit you have, personally if your currently installed kit is running fine. Id remove it, install the other kit, and yes memtest86 is the best program for testing ram.

Well it's Corsair 4gb 1600mhz 2x2gb. So totally different. I'll take mine out and pop that in to see if it's working at all if not, I'll pop mine back in with this next to it. I hate putting potentially dodgy stuff into my computer
