Hello there guys! I am trying to understand a bit more about RAM as I'm building a PC that stretches to the £2000-£2250 mark. I'm willing to spend up to around £200 on RAM and I would like to know what the best RAM sticks out there are at the moment at stock/standard speeds as I have no interest of fiddling around with the timings with my very little knowledge about the Voltages and wouldn't want to mess it up!

I'm looking at the Black Mamba at the moment http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-063-PA&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :p:cool::cool:

Do you need 16gb of ram or is 8 enough?? This is obviously what distates the quality and speed options within your budget.

If you must have 16gb I would go with this Team kit.

abit over budget but great kit and the one I often use on X79.

If your happy with 8gb then the team 2800mhz kit is great as is several offerings by both Team and Corsair at 2666 and 2600. Look for C10 product at these speeds.

Thank you 8 Pack! I shall certainly look into this, I'm still very unsure as to what to go for whether to go the X79 boards or the newer Haswell stuff? Are you able to offer an explanation as to which is best for gaming?
