RAM: 2GB Corsair Dominator PC6400C4 (2x 1GB sticks)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-124-CS

When i go into the BIOS i can see the memory timings and there at:

Memory Timing Setting [Optimal]
tCL (Cas Latency) - 5
tRDC - 5
tRP - 5
tRAS - 18
Command Per Clock - 2T

**Advanced Memory Settings**
tRRD - 3
tRC - 22
tWR - 5
tWTR - 9
tREF - 3.9uS

what should i change them to? i dont want to do anyhing fancy, just what there meant to be which says 4-4-4-12 and 1.9-2.3v but im not sure what options to change to, if someone qould quote that quote and edit it to what im looking for that would be greatly appriciated!

You change the top lot to 4-4-4-12 and you might even get away with changing Command Per Clock to 1T.

Before doing this though make sure you know how to clear the CMOS if it refuses to boot afterwards.

I take it is a 680i board? If it is, goto the System Voltages screen and change the RAM voltage bit, it might need upto 2.3V but it's best you use as little as possible as long as it's stable.

Edit: Make sure your RAM is running 400MHz or less when doing the above.

yeah, board is 680i,

not 100% sure how to clear the CMOS though...

Use The Following Procedure To Clear CMOS
1 - Turn off the AC power supply and connect pins 1 and 2 together using the jumper cap
2 - Return the jumper cap seting to normal (pins 2 and
3 - Together with the jumper cap).
4 - Turn the AC power supply back on.

looks like a error in the manual at the end of step 2, i think it must mean to say "pins 2 and 3", theres 3 pins altogether and this blue cap over pin 2 and 3. so im guesing to clear it you take this blue cap off, move it to pin 1 and 2 then put it back to 2 and 3

seems to of worked ok... changed them from 5-5-5-18-2T to 4-4-4-12-2T

voltage was already on 1.90 (unless i read it wrong...)

my ram is still running at 400mhz when looking at CPU-Z though..... says it can run at 800mhz right? how do i change that? BIOS i know but i couldnt really see an option that was set at 400mhz...

Don't worry, it's already running at 800mhz.

The type of RAM that you have is DDR which means 'Double Data Rate'. This means that when you have it set to 400mhz it is effectively running at 800mhz.

That's the SPD timings, not what they're actually running at, you need to click the Memory tab to view actual settings.
