Hi

I have a query someone might know the answer to. Current system...Q6600 (433x8)...2Gb Geil Ultra 6400 1:1...Gigabyte P35 DS3P.

Today I have just added another 2Gb of Geil ram...so now have 4 x 1Gb sticks running at 866Mhz with the CPU at 3.46Gz.

For some reason when I went up to 4GB...CPU-Z is reporting the ram to be running at command rate 2T instead of 1T which it was when i had only 2x1Gb sticks in. I cant see where in the BIOS to force the 1T command rate...anyone know how to get this at 1T or is this normal for having 4Gb ram???

Cheers

Ok...forget the above...this isnt stable at all with 4Gb.

Ive come down to running the ram at 400Mhz with 5,5,5,12 timings with 2.25V Vram and it still wont Prime 4 cores for more than 20 minutes without throwing an error. With 2 x 1Gb sticks I was running quite happily at 433FSB...now I cant make 400 with slacker timings.
This RAM is rated to run at 400Mhz with 4,4,4,12 as a 2Gb pack...should it make any difference that I am running 4 sticks???

the P35 boards are usually good with 4 sticks, my geil ram seems to become unstable when i increase voltage over 2.1 with stock timings and speed, im now at 1000MHz 5-5-5-15 2.1v
