RAM timings

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer.

I am thinking of buying some new RAM and was wondering which would be faster:

4-4-4-12 at 800MHz, or
5-5-5-15 at 1066MHz

I could do either with a little BIOS manipulation, so which would be faster?

OK, I have an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe and an Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition, will the PC2-8500 RAM work well with these?

I have 4x1GB OCZ Platinum at the moment, everything running at stock, and it's pretty unstable as OCZ RAM doesn't work well with this board apparently.
