There are two different RAM kits I can but and they are identical apart from timings, voltage and MHz.

Could I use RAM with 9-9-9-27 timings on a Sandy Bridge P67 motherboard, the RAM is also 1.65V and 1600MHz?

I'm looking at some 8GB XMS3 at 1.65V, would this be alright?

EDIT - this: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-27, 1.65V

It's listed on the site as 9-9-9-27, so if i use it will I have to change bios settings to make it run at 1.5V?

When you install it in a Sandybridge board it will default to 1333MHz.

You'll have to manually set the speed, timings (possibly) and voltage in the BIOS.

You want the voltage as low as possible without causing instability.

Start at around 1.5V and increase it in small amounts if you need to.
