Ram Upgrade Help

Best RAM Option? Help/Advice

I currently have 2gb of DDR2 800mhz Geil Ultra Low Latency RAM and I'm looking to upgrade this.

What I'd like to know is what is the best option? I am considering either:

2x2gb of DDR2 800mhz OCZ Gold Edition @ £59.98

or

2x2gb of DDR2 1066mhz Kingston Hyper X @ £75.98


Is it possible to run my current RAM with these? I expect the first option to run ok with it (same speed) but I'm unsure on the second.

Check the voltage and latencies of your current ram; try and match them or even get some that are identical.

Remember you can run higher specced ram at slower speed with better latencies usually. I'm not so sure about voltages though.

also mak sure that you motherboard supports 1066mhz.
