So I have this 3 year old PC with the 2GB Kingston RAM(CPUZ says it's 665mhz), Intel i3 530, MSI H55M- E21 board ,250GB Seagate HDD, Nvidia GT 430. It's Running on Windows 8.1 32 Bit.

Wanted to upgrade my HDD and RAM. There are so many RAMs and HDD available and I have absolutely no idea which one would work best with my system.

Please advice!

If you (as an owner) don't know - so who might know it better ? :)

RAM = buy exactly the same memory chip and get flawless dual channel mode (if it is 2x1 GB, so you can swap it to 2x2 GB, the same symbol, but "higher" capacity). CPU-Z will name your memory sticks.

HDD = whichever you pick, it will be better. Just depends what'd you expect: just bigger capacity, or higher speed, or both ? Tell me your HDD symbol (CrystalDiskInfo shows that). There's also an option to buy SSD (for Windows) and HDD as storage & for programs & games to mix speed & capacity features.

Not much point in getting more ram as you have a 32bit O/S unless you have noticeable issues. As far as hard drives go, pick the largest you can afford and make sure it's at least 7200rpm
