im lookin to do a ram upgrade soon and have a couple of questions. this is my current spec
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320MB
Crucial 2GB (2x1GB KIT) 667mhz
Gigabyte S775 Intel P35 GA P35C DS3R rev 2.0
550W PSU
windows xp (32 bit) home
i was gonna go for 4GB of OCZ ram which runs at a speed of 1600mhz.
will i see a decent performance increase (gaming) if i do this? ive been told this will allow me to OC my cpu due to my current ram bein a bottleneck.
finally, ive been told that windows xp can only see up to 4GB of ram and that includes any video memory. lets say i upgrade my video card with one that has 640mb, the 640mb would come off the total ram that windows can see so 4GB would be overkill.
is this true and would i be as well just goin for 3GB of ram?
