RAM Upgrade - Updating the BIOS

I currently have 2x 4gb RAM cards installed. I have bought another 2x of the exact same RAM cards to also be installed in the 1 and 3 RAM slots on my motherboard. I know my motherboard can take 32gbs of RAM so 16 shouldn't be an issue.

When I install the second pair of RAM cards, when booting, an error occurs in the BIOS where I get the message saying 'BIOS setup does not coincide with current H/W states'.

I can get into the BIOS from that screen, however I don't know how to update the BIOS to expect the new RAM.

Any Help??

Thanks
James

What motherboard do you have

You shouldn't have to update the BIOS but you may have to go into the BIOS when it gives you the error and change nothing but do a save and exit.
