RAM upgrade

I think its time that I bought some more RAM for my system, just to put some new life into it. However, im not great when it comes to ram and need a couple of questiosn answered. Currently I have 2x512 Hyundai generic sticks in slots A1 and B1. Now im not sure if this is running in dual channel. I intend to get another gigabyte. Would it be best to buy another 2x512 or go with a 1Gb stick? Also any reccomendatiosn for RAM? Will any other make work okay with the current stuff? Spec in sig.

i would sell it and get 2x1GB kit. if you cant do this get 2 more 512s although you def wont be able to run 1T timing with this. using a 1gb stick with 2x512 might not work at all im not sure but i thought the slots had to be filled in pairs to be stable.

So itll slow to PC2700 if 4 slots are filled?

It'll also default to the same timings of slowest stick.

Well they would all be PC3200 anyway.

What core 3500+, if anything but venice with 4 dimms i believe it defaults to pc2700

The early 3500+ I think. Don't think its a Venice.
