Ram upgrade;

Very nice, very low profile as well. It depends on what you do though. If you run heavy applications like rendering or run multiple Photoshops, Flash, excel, word and video editing applications mostly at the same time as well as other media applications you want a high CAS RAM. This RAM has a CAS of 9-9-9-27, and to be fair that excellent its the average and great speed for a 1600MHz RAM.

If you want something with a lot more speed though look for (and i am a bit bias to Mushkin as i love them on my test stations as they work superb) Mushkin Redline Enchanced 1600MHz with a latency of 7-7-7-27. Very fast RAM but has more overhead than the linked RAM and i don't think OCuK have any, only the Ridgback line of Mushkins

Thanks for the reply.

Can't say I do a lot of media/photoshop tbh!

It's more just general use, but I've noticed BF3 maxes out 4GB, and I do a lot of multi-tasking on my rig.

Overall I think 8GB of some decent 1600 will give me the boost I need! :)

For gaming then that RAM is excellent. 8GB is great for gaming as well though 4GB is still enough for those who can't afford to upgrade yet :)
