RAM Upgrade?

Hi,

I currently have 8GB of Patriot Viper with my AMD 8350, since Zen was announced I've decided to keep my current CPU and see what I can upgrade to cover me until it comes out

I'm not very good with RAM but wouldnt mind upgrading to 16GB and faster RAM if its worth it?

The RAM I have now is using the XMP profile 1600 CAS8, thats all I know

What do you think, worth the upgrade and if so, what to?

Have a look at your memory usage whilst you're using it everyday. If it's approaching 8GB, it may be worth upgrading to 16GB of the same speed if you're gonna keep the same CPU and mobo for a while longer.

Otherwise probably worth waiting for the inevitable upgrade to DDR4.

AMD FX gain very little from increased RAM speed, so unless you are editing videos and photoshopping stuff a lot, keep with the 8GB.

Thanks chaps, I'll stick with what I have and get an AIO for my CPU see if I can clock it a bit more
