RAM Upgrade

Hi all

I currently have 2x 4gig of Kingston PC12800 DDR3 1600.
Is it worth getting another 2 sticks of the same to increase up to 16GB.
or will it be better just to get 2 x 8 of faster memory.

Really depends on what motherboard you have, whether or not you're overclocking, what operating system you use and of course what you use your system for. (More info required

MB is an Asus Z87-K running windows 10 64bit used for gaming.
No overclocking.

Safest bet is 2 x 8Gb, but getting in theory getting another 2 sticks of the 4Gb should work ok.

Note that even memory with the same serial number can be of a different revision.

Not by much. If your that worried for ddr3 1866 would be good enough

Seen a few threads on Youtube where faster ram has made a good % of difference in FPS
