Title really explains it, I would like some advice off someone in the know!
The cooler is the dark rock advanced c1 and the ram is team group xtreem LV 8gb 2400mhz. The motherboard they will be fitted to is a sniper g1 z87. Will it fit? I have a sneaking suspicion it won't .
Thanks for your help!

There is no way it will fit under the cooler. It all depends on how far the heatsink/fan fouls the Ram slots. If it covers the first two then you are not going to be able to run dual channel, as you need slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.

My pc has the dark rock 2 and it covers the first two ram slots, although my board is an Ivybridge Z77.

Have you purchased the Ram/Cooler already ?

You'll probably have problems with the heatsink fan fouling the RAM slots.

Why not go for something like the Vulcan kit? Spec almost identical (CAS 11 vs 10), low profile and cheaper.

Those tall RAM heatsinks are purely cosmetic (unless you're clocking & over-volting the nuts off of your RAM).

I thought as much. The Vulcan kit is totally the wrong colour for my build but it is probably what I'll buy. I knew I'd have problems. The heat sinks suck I wreck a ram card once trying to pull them off! And I haven't purchased them yet.
