Only me again with more daft help required
I have a
MSI K9N NEO-F V3 Socket AM2 Motherboard
which features
•NVIDIA nForce 550 MCP chipset
•Supports AMD Socket AM2, Athlon64 FX/X2 and Sempron processors
•1 PCI-E x16 slots for VGA
•4 dual channel DIMMs DDRII 533/667/800 up to 8GB
•Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000
•7.1-channel High Definition Audio
•Supports 4 SATAII, storage and data transfer up to 300MB/sec
•2 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI slots
•10x USB 2.0
•Silent Heatsink design,
I am currently running
2x512mb of kingston kvr667d2ns/512 which have been fine.
I recently bought
2x1gb kingston kvr800d2n5k2
to make my total 3gb.
I have installed them with the 2x512 sticks and win7 didnt pick them up.
I took out the original sticks and placed the 2 new sticks in and Win wouldnt boot.
I have tried all combinations and only new sticks dont show up.
Looking at the supported ram types , the new 1gb sticks should run fine.
Is there anything else i need to do ? assuming they are in working order?
sorry old question on old board with old ram!
The physical size of the new sticks are half that of the old ones, so i thought I may had a research and order fluff up, but as i said it supported.
anyhelp ?
Cheers
KJ
