So disappointed they are not doing UK again this year ... properly :(

Caught them last year at Coventry ... and it turned out to be one of my best arena shows ever.

Original plans were to see them at Cardiff and this was after at least one understandable Covid postponed show, but OMG it seemed the odds were stacked against me, there wear natural deaths in extended family, suddenly and because of them, they never wanted to go anymore.

I was stuck ... with tickets and a bunch of Hotel bookings for Cardiff.

I actually sold on the Cardiff tickets and cancelled the hotel bookings for free (I'm from NE Scotland), mine too and almost wrote the whole adventure thing off.

But as the shows grew ever nearer I realized I simply had to go see this magnificent band Live .. lived in W Germany for years and feel I have a close affinity with the band and German people, went a looking and grabbed from Ticketmaster a decent seat for Coventry show, this meant new hotel arrangements too, not to mention last minute travel ... eventually settled on the hotel at the Coventry stadium itself and the day before the show ... best move I've ever done, it turned out Flake the keyboard player decided to stay at the hotel too (no sign of the other guys LOL) and we chatted, he seemed a very private person though and left him alone ... as the day and evening grew on more and more guys and galls came into hotel bar for refreshments and they were Rammstein road crew of course ... hundreds of them LOL, and what a party was had.
It ended up as one of my most perfect shows ever. I got to watch at my leisure the whole massive Rammstein stage being built before the show. The weather for show day was perfect ... not a drop ... it was by pure accident and turned out to be possibly my most perfect show ever.

Also, and as it turned out, Rammstien at this particular show were heard on the Sunday at village's up to 12 miles away.

how did you get to see the stage built the day before when their video showed it takes over 70 hours?

Good question ... and you are right, apparently it takes up to 3 days to build a typical Rammstein show, what I witnessed the day before was the stage already almost complete ... it was still wonderful to see it in on going partial construction though.

I actually took a fair few videos of this and including at about 2AM when the lighting guys were still testing it seemed until the very last minute I cherish these memorys, really do :)

Sadly the only time I saw them was on the Mutter tour and the pyro and lighting was quite basic, their shows now look awesome.

Actually One48 you've thought of a good new thread title:
Your Most Perfect Concert

I was at the Coventry gig which was awesome, but slightly smaller in scale than the previous time at Milton Keynes. Since they aren't doing a UK leg this time I'm off to see them in Berlin in July.
