Rampage 4 Extreme-CPU Fan Fail

Hello

I built my new rig today, but having trouble with booting it up for the first time?
on boot the CPU fans spin like normal.

Then I get a message which say CPU fan failure, I know they connected the right way, so why they failing? :confused:

Can anyone please help?

you deffo have the fan connected to the cpu fan connector and not the chassis fan connector?

This is probably definitely the problem.

Otherwise faulty fan

Hi, well after spending a bit of time, 3 hours I got CPU fans to work, only after I disabled fan monitoring in bios, so now the fans spin when startup but they are loud.

Don't really now what to do, sometimes I get CPU fan failure even when the fans are working. When I set CPU fan profile to standard, I get the CPU fan failure message and my fans stop spinning!

P.s fans are defo connected to CPU fan input on mobo

I used to have this error come up on my old PC, is it a standard intel fan or upgraded heatsink and fan?.

It seemed a problem for me only once the standard intel fan was binned and replaced for a nice shiny new cooler - but it was only a warning error - nothing was actually 'wrong' as you put it - still worked just fine
