Rampage Formula broken pin, but still works!?!

Hi all,

I'm testing a Rampage Formula motherboard here (X48, socket 775), which had a few badly bent pins. They've all straightened but one, which sheared (another is about ready to go I think). But the board is still posting. Could the broken pin be redundant, or am I likely to find out down the road that the board won't do something it ought to? Does anybody know if there's a diagram of redundant pins somewhere?

If it boots and runs it should be fine,you have to test it ect for stability,if it was an important pin it wouldn't boot,many are earth pins or redundant ones

Are there any pins that do something, but not something important. I guess I'm trying to get at: if it's booting, does that mean it will be 100% functional, or maybe only 95%?

I don't know,aslong as its stable in stress tests then it should be fine

I have a board with a missing pin,its 100% solid/reliable at stock or overclocked

Two other of the pins snapped. I looked on the pin diagram and it's now missing two VSS pins and one VCC pin. It's still working.

Idk what those mean,some provide power and some are earth

I'm thinking VCC is probably +voltage and VSS is probably ground

Doesn't it tell you on the pinout map?
