Hi- Just bought a second hand Rampage formula board to build a system with DDR2 ram and a Q6600 that I already own- and wondered whether this was a good choice or not? Or whether there are other DDR2 775 boards that will perform much better? : S

For future reference, it's best to get recommendations BEFORE your purchase :p.

You're good to go though because the rampage x48 was one of the best skt775 boards of its time.

Good boards :)
North bridge get a bit hot when pushing it though so some active cooling for it helps :)

Oh and welcome to the forums :)

My favourite 775 board, had one since launch and only got rid of it early this year, great board, rock solid for me and a great chipset too. Overclocks like a monster. recommended.

: ) looks like it was a good choice then! Thanks for the replies- I got worried that a 780i motherboard of some kind might be a lot better but guess they must have been selling for more because of the sli capability (I watched an EVGA 780i sell for £146 on ebay a couple of days ago!)
