Rampage IV Formula Debug Code '40'

Hi,

I've looked it up as much as I can but I can't find anything online for this code. Since I've had this board, it always displayed 'AA' - which I believe everything to be fine.

Now it's consistently displaying '40' on the LED and I have no idea what it means. Everything seems to be in working order, so I've no idea what's wrong.

Anyone have any idea?

Rest of the system:
4930K @ 4.4GHz (H100i cooled) - temps are as they usually are.
16GB 1600MHz RAM (4x4GB)
AMD Radeon R9 290X (10% overclock)

Could it be 04 rather than 40? I think that's also an everything is OK code.

What are the symptoms of the problem though?? You tried reset bios? Booting with one stick on RAM only no drrives attacehd just GPU etc etc

No symptoms what so ever. The computer is running absolutely fine, despite it. I've never seen this code on this board until now, so I'm trying to find out why it would be showing now, even though the PC is running fine. I've not made any changes to the system other than swap out my OS drive for a Samsung 840 Pro (which btw, runs great)

I have this on my P9x79 pro. Don't think it's an error, think its the same as AA

Came across this thread whilst searching for the answer to the same question.
It seems it has something to do with cold boot, if you are using Windows 8 fast boot. But if you do a restart, it will show AA instead of 40.
