rampage x48 detection of drives = NONE

hi i recently had a problem loading disk directer suite in dos or after post not checked every boot cd but i never had a problem before... i have a sata hdd and sata dvd drive any suggestions why im not able to boot from a disk director boot cd? it says error no drives detected everytime. but i can see my drives in bios and in windows and i can boot from xp setup disk with no problem. please help
