Random 80's Person ID

Probably one of the best 80's montages made.

Does anyone know who the dudes are at 0.46? one dude vibing and the other with a hat and sunnies on.
I'll be honest, it's scary how many of the references I get from that*.

Meanwhile I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning. And I only had my breakfast an hour ago:p

*Probably helped by the fact I've been watching a lot of older films recently.

It's a good video, but the editing and song on this one hit all my nostalgia buttons more.

Mid 80's to early 90's was the pinnacle in music and film making, before the dawn of mobile phones, internet and all things CGI, in so many ways it was a better time.

I know it's different for everyone. Maybe it's just nostalgia or perhaps just because I was young, free and single. But to me the 80s and 90s were just a better time. There were problems but there was a feeling of things improving. Music was better (for me). Films were better. People seemed happier and more polite. It was just a better time. Two epic decades.

90s was pretty grim as a teenager, but at least bullying was just bullying and not people roaming around with knives and other weapons.

Music mostly seems to be junk but I'm sure our parents felt the same about our tastes.

Movies and TV I think are worse because it tries to appeal to everyone or the lowest common denominator, a lot like Gaming.

Things seemed to be aimed at different types of people more back in the day and there was a lot more niche stuff around.

now everything is expected to be some huge financial success so the risks aren't taken and mass appeal is all important.

The 90s was epic, great drugs, friends, days drinking without a care. The weekend started on a Thursday.
Now I'm counting my grey hairs and playing games on a Friday night. my eyesight is failing and my back hurts. Choose Life!

I sort of know what you mean.

Having said that the rose tinted specs are always handy, and I'm very aware that at that sort of time I was young enough not to really be aware of what was going on a lot of the time, and that we didn't have the 24 hours news services we do now that were needing to fill in airtime, so we didn't hear half the stuff we do now. I've mentioned before that IIRC statistically in terms of crime a lot of serious crimes have gone down, it's just we hear of stuff from the other side of the country within minutes, where 30 years ago we'd often not hear much about something similar in the next town over (let alone 60 years ago).

I do think that we've seen a quality of life decrease in the last 10 years or so though, as I remember things like being able to actually import from the US at a reasonable exchange rate and how much cheaper, even in relative terms a lot of things were.

Took until post 12 and no mention of The Blues Brothers? Bizarre
No mention of Kelly LeBrock in weird science/woman in red either.
I guess her elbows are too pointy for the modern generation.
