Random beeps and shutdowns!

So my Ma wanted dual-screen for her stocks and shares stuff, so I threw a ATI 3650 into her 2 year old prebuilt PC. It only had a 300W PSU (maybe even only 200W, all I remember is that it was very low) - and for a week after it kept beeping about once an hour, and shutting down randomly about once every two days.

So I went out and fetched her a nice new 600W PSU, and for over a fortnight there's been no problem whatsoever, until today it apparently shutdown for no reason again, without even a beep for warning? Any ideas as to why this might have happened?

Ah, I haven't checked! Hadn't thought of that! I suspect they should be, as she never had problems before the graphics card, and I cleared out a LOT of caked in dust and dirt when I put it in.

any usb issues? does the keyboard / mouse stop working for about 10-20 secs every now and then? Does your PC die when a usb hard disk is put in, etc?
