random blue screen

hi

started getting a random blue screen on my machine, havent updated any drivers or added an new hardware,

what should I check

Firstly note down what error messages you're getting on these blue screens, that should give you a clue on whats wrong. Don't worry if you dont understand them, post them on here and I'm sure someone will!

Error Message: STOP: c0000139 (Entry Point Not Found)
The procedure entry point CdiGetBitmapBitsSize could not be located in the dynamic library GDI32.d11

is the error message I get

Is this happening during boot? Or while your in windows? As all instaces of "Error Message: STOP: c0000139 (Entry Point Not Found)" seem to point towards boot issues...

If so, you can probably rectify the problem using the recovery console on the XP cd once you boot from it.

If you do that, I would just scan for spyware etc just incase.

so you reckon repair tool of the xp disc, if that makes sense

tried the repair tool in xp a couple of times

and no joy,

it wont go in safe mode, windows, safe mode with networking or last known good configuration

wondering if I can copy that file from a healthy machine,

or just set it up as a slave go in get data of and .pst file then wipe it and start again
