random blue screens

my systems as been running fine for the last 18+ months but as of last night it started to blue screen, is there any way i can find a system log or something that will give me info on the problem i need to fix

system
ABIT AX78
Phenom 9500 X4 @ 3.6Ghz
4 X 1gb ddr2 800Mhz
ATI 5450

it used as a media centre so dose run a lot, but the blue screens are after about 20mins of use

The 0x0....... code that comes up on the BSOD should give an indication of where to start looking and it should show the location of a crash dump as well. I'm sure there is someone on here who has the ability to read these and they give a very accurate indication of the problem.

In the meantime it might be worth downloading and running Core Temp http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ and see what temp your CPU is running at.

Reseat all internal plugs, RAM and the GPU and give the internals (including the PSU) a really good blow through.

Run memtest half a dozen times to check your RAM is in good health
