I'm currently on Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit.
Every now and again when booting up into windows, just after the loading screen has shown (but before the vista logo in the circle shows), get the BSOD saying REGISTRY_ERROR. Now i've google'd and google'd and found no real solution, but the strange thing is it only does it now and again, hence how im typing this.
I can get into safemode etc, so i'm wondering what the hell i can do to work out what is causing the problem and how to fix it.
Judging from the problem, i am going to assume somewhere in the registry it does not like one of my drivers. When i was in safemode i reinstalled all the drivers i had installed from first installing Vista, but i am still having the same problems.
I'm just about to try CCLeaner and search the registry to see if this can find any errors, but other than that i am lost as to what it could be, and i don't particularly want to re-format again!
Thanks,

Capture the entire error, for starters. Check your System Event Log as well, it might give more details. Also, you can configure your PC to generate a memory dump (Control Panel | System | Advanced System Properties | Startup and Recovery), then if you can gather one of those then the Windows Debugging Tools should help you along nicely.
