I've had this error twice now with the follow error code - 0x000000f4 - It just happened while playing CS:GO and also last weekend when i was playing Marvel Heroes. Google'd the error and cant get to grasps of what it could be. I did build the system a week ago and all the drivers are up to date. Looked in Windows Event Viewer and it shows this "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-V Network link is disconnected." about 5 seconds before the BsoD is logged shortly after. Bit clueless as to what it could be and that its only happend today and last Saturday (when i built it) Fresh install of the network drivers maybe? the ones i used were off the disk but baring the release date of the Z87, didn't think it was that bad tbh.

edit: just saw this on another forum thread "F4 is a critical process termination (one of 4 windows files has stopped) and can be related to a driver, corrupt OS, or malware."

F4 is ssd/hdd related error, using latest ssd firmware? And motherboard BIOS?

Also its a known issue with sandforce drives and z87 boards, try third party SATA ports if you have them, asmedia ect

I haven't updated the BIOS and also my SSD i just did plug n play (did it with my old system and worked fine). Maybe try updating my SSD firmware? but isn't there a chance of damaging the data?

Just checked my SSD firmware, its all up to date. Checked BIOS, mobo is running R2, so wondering if this is the cause of the problem? although this does appear a few seconds before the BSoD "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-V Network link is disconnected." may be something? Also flashing mobo's can sometimes go wrong right? I rely on this PC for uni work >.<

Can try updating the lan drivers if you havnt already

BIOS flashing is safe provided you flash through the BIOS with a Usb memory stick and qflash

Yeah i'll try the lan drivers now, the ones that are installled are off the disk.

edit: just updated from 18.0 to 18.3. Obviously i'll have to wait to see if that does the job (fingers crossed) wierd how it didn't BSoD all week untill today.
I'll leave it at that for today. Least i know now that the SSD & lan drivers are up to date. If it occurs again i'll flash the mobo.

Just to add the the drama I was also playing cs go today and got a random BSOD. Maybe game related. I'm not on my rig ATM so can't check but could be worth check the community page for cs go on steam to see if other people have the same issue.

Just got another bluescreen, although this time it was the following > The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124. Looked on forums and apparently its the "most vague BSOD windows can give you"

Edit: The previous BSOD i got seems to have been resolved.
