Today I got a BSOD. It was the 3rd one that I can remember, and all 3 have come for unknown reasons doing different stuff.

The first one happened when i was extracting a file.
The second one happened when I was pretty much just browsing the internet
The third one came when I was browsing the STEAM app.

I have a BSOD app that explains each one, and it actually says there have been 5 BSODs lol.

I will post the last 3:

Do you have any ideas? I can post the older 2 if needed.

The only thing 'strange' that happened is that the fans are spinning faster (and louder!!), but the temps are the same (33 CPU, 36 GPU on Idle, and not more than 50/50 on load).

Thanks and Happy Christmas :)

memory_management, try tools on here,

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/announcement.php?f=119

and if you have a spare psu, change it and see if it errors, just incase it's that, guessing memory but psu can also give same error code.

last one to try is use scandisk /f and fix error on reboot, this will rule out drive errors, or run sfc at dos prompt system file check for o/s errors.

good luck, post results or mem 95 reports etc

Thank you. I kind of thought it was PSU, because its a cheap stock PSU, and I just felt that it was the likely thing that went bust. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare one, so I will first check memory, then go onto the drivers, and then I'll try a new PSU.

Thanks.

plenty of low cost and very good psu out there, just go for a branded one, plenty here will recommend some

My system is fairly low spec, and I want to change it, so I never bothered spending money when I know that I will swapping it 'soon'. I might buy a new PSU though, as I don't have the funds to buy a whole new PC.

I got another BSOD today when watching YouTube

Running sfc now. If it snot this, then it must be PSU

EDIT: I did a chkdsk and sfc. It arranged a few stuff apparently. I need to format my HDD, so I should be covered 100% regarding any OS problems or drivers. Then its just a waiting game until I BSOD again...
