Random CD Buying

Today I seen a CD:

Kashmir - No Balance Palace

I had never heard of them at all and I just randomly bought it and I don't know why. I put it in an hour ago and I totally love it.

So, have you ever randomly listened to/bought a CD and it turned out to be very good? It's very rare that I put a CD in and I like it during the first listen; it normally takes a while.

I used to do it a lot. Yourself or Someone Like You - Matchbox 20. I bought that at random and liked it.

Don't do it any more with the advent of the internet. You can always try before you buy now.

Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want" for me, I had never heard them but pretty much liked the look of the album. Glad I did, it has some killer catchy songs on it

The last one I got randomly was The Coral, glad I got it as it's quite enjoyable to listen to once in a while.

i used to do it lot, but i use stuff like Lastfm and myspace to listen to bands songs before i buy the album!

what are Kashmir like?

I went out and bought 10,000 days off recommendations from here, Dream Theater have also been recommended so may buy one of their album's. I won't just go out and pick up a random CD though.
