Hello everybody.

Ok, straight to the point, My current pc is having intermittent tantrums and when it is have one of the said tantrum, it will refuse to boot, the fans will come on but nothing else happens.
To over come said tantrums, I have to pull the power lead out and depress the power button, This usually spark the thing alive (the fans come on) for a split second.
Once I have reattached the power lead, the system hangs then I get a Main bios check sum error and the pc reinstalls the backup bios and the PC works again for a couple of weeks, then the series of events repeats itself.

Motherboard: Gigabyte MA790xt-ud4p AM3

Ram: no idea but 4gb (was random over-clockers upgrade, due to stock issue)
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 64bit
Star sign: leo

Think that is enough info required, Now tell me oh technical gods. How do I fix this?
