hi everyone,
i was copying a dvd when my pc crashed on me,
i took the IHS off last night and ran orthos small fft's for about 45 mins no probs and temps were pretty good.
then after ran a 5 hour blend test with no errors.
but burning my dvd i was watching cpu usage and temps and it wasnt even half of what orthos was throwing at it.

im running athlon64 x2 4400 @ 2376mhz
bus @ 216
multi @ 11
HT link @ 1080
core volts @ 1.38

on a asus an8-ali premium

memory 2 x 1gb ocz platinum

i cant seem to get it any higher than 2376mhz without it failing on orthos,
everywhere i see people talking about getting there 4400 to 2.8 and higher and stable.

ive been having problems with my graphics blacking out but only when i right click or go into nvidia control panel.

you don't specify your graphics card or psu, i'd suspect the latter particularly if it's cheap and you have a high spec graphics card.

sorry, my psu is standard antec that come with my tower (sonata 2) 450 smart power
graphics is PNY nvidia 7300 gs 256mb set as standard.

Well I don't see a problem with them, but the fact that you experience crashes when gaming or using your DVD still makes me think you might have a psu problem.

Found your post after ya leaving the comment on mine!

Looking at your setup...

id drop the multiplyer to X4... instead of X5

vcore to 1.4

change the FSB to whatever ya want... see how high ya can get it :)
