Within the past couple of days random devices (I have a lot) have started losing connection. And the overall network seems laggy.

I've noticed my phone, laptop and nest cameras randomly appearing offline then coming back.

Is it possible I've reached the realistic device limit on my talk talk router?

Yes, similar position to myself with lots of esp devices I must have at least 50 things connected wirelessly. Some things also take a while to reconnect if the router needs rebooting.

Yes. Add a second access point to offload some of your devices onto that has WI-FI 6e and you’ll see a much better network performance.

If you’re using a very basic router that your ISP gave you, consider replacing it with something newer.

Doesn't have to be 6e. 6 is enough, 6e is the same as 6 but just on the 6GHz band, which not many devices support.

It depends what's causing the disconnects though. Either it really is the WiFi on the TalkTalk router that can't handle that many devices, or for some weird reason the actual router part itself is that poor. I would be tempted to get a new router anyway that will replace both sides, and should be a good step up.

I know the difference between 6 and 6e and for the price difference, when I last looked, 6e is great and yes, 6ghz isn’t used much these days but one day you’ll benefit from it.
