I've had a problem with my new system. I did have a Radeon r9 290x. I upgraded the board to an msi tomahawk b350 and the cpu to ryzen 5 1600x.

Ever since I've had random display driver not responding issues, I thought it was the card, so bought a gtx 1060 6gb. The same issue occurs with the new card. Could it be a faulty motherboard?
 
Got to the bottom of this. Memtest was passing both sticks but 3dmark would fail with only 1 of the sticks. So, faulty stick.
