Last month I built two i7 2600K, Asus P8P67-M Pro, 8GB G.Skill DDR3 and an ATI 6850 with Windows 7 64-bit for my grandad and I. I had to RMA my motherboard and replaced it with an Asus P8P67 (ATX) due to a very odd pulsing sound emitting through the speakers. My Grandad has been suffering a couple of issues, recently.
Random Lockups/Freezes
The first issue that each time he uses the computer, the system randomly freezes/locksup the only way to fix this is to reboot, but it won't do it again that day. What should I look at here?
Printing
Whenever he prints from Photoshop, the PC hangs/freezes just like above. However, the PC prints fine from Lightroom. The only thing I can think of here is to make sure Photoshop is up to date, which I did when I installed it for him, but to also ensure the print spooler is okay and drivers are up to date.
Any suggestions for the above would be fantastic.
