Hi guys,

any ideas on this:

Recently last week or so I've got randoms lockups/freezes not BSOD but system needs to be powered off and restarted.

It's happened about 3 times max in last week or so.

Doesn't seem to be heat related or stress test related.

For example it's happened twice when playing TeamFortressClassic (a half-life mod from 1999 lol) so I've not run prime or stiffly monitored cpuz or gpuz because it has happened whilst playing that game that doesn't even count as playing a game (stress-wise)....

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

GZA

try changing the v-droop setting in the bios, I had a couple of lock ups recently after a failed OC attemp, went to load up my default oc that was solid and it wouldn't load so had to manually do it, strange thing was I got a couple of hard freezes, changed my v-droop and it is fine so far, so I must have changed it before and forgot

may need to test the hdd for errors. use manufacturers hdd diagnostics tests. also run the microsoft memory diagnostic tool to test the memory
