random freezing on desktop and in games

hi guys, hope your well.

im after some advice. since a few weeks now my pc keeps freezing at random times on desktop but more frequently in games.

its a strange crash as in my framerate will crash to less than 1fps and same thing in desktop

funny thing is though, when it happens in games, if i spam the escape button it will start working fine and will do so for about 15 mins before doing it again.

specs are in signature. i have restored all clocks to stock and i have never touched voltages. all driver are up to date and i have even formatted the whole thing and it still does it with a fresh install.

any ideas will be much appreciated.

sounds like some sort of a software issue if you can spam escape to get out of it, i would try a new install of windows

Already done that if you read above. Running clean install at the moment and no difference.

Next step would be run Memtest86 over night. Before the test make sure you have the RAM timings and voltage setup correct.
Then Run Checkdisk

And last I would check the PSU with a multimeter.
