Hi,
I just brought a new graphics card and new RAM and my pc has started randomly freezing, my pc only seems to freeze while im playing games but seems fine with normal apps.

Ive taken out the new RAM and put my old ram back in and for now the problem seems to be fixed so i guess its the ram that is causing me problems.

As far as i can see the new ram is clearly working as my pc works fine with normal windows apps and windows is detected all of the ram.

I seem to remember my friend modifying some RAM settings in the bios when i first built this computer, but i cant remember where they were and i have no idea what they would need to be set to. (If this could even be the source of the problem)

I cant be 100% sure that problem is the RAM but after having a quick play on a few games it seems to be running fine, where as it would freeze up within a few minutes before.

If anyone has any ideas of what could be causing this problem and/or any possible solutions they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help,

This is the RAM i am using

Ive run a memory test on both sticks and the both seem fine. Ive also tried running the pc for a while with each of the new RAM stick on there own and it runs fine

So the problem seems to be with running both sticks at the same time, ive check the motherboard manual and it states that the board supports up to 4GB.

The specs for the rest of my pc are :

Mobo : EVGA nFORCE 630i S775
Graphics : http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-104-GW
CPU : Intel quad core (cant remember model)
