My dads computer has random freezing with vista x64.
Specs:
Asus P5b
intel e6320
3GB ocz ddr2 - checked with memtest86
nvidia 8800gts
I installed with AHCI on in the bios and I cant test it with IDE due to not being able to boot with it turned on.
The bios has been upgraded to latest version.
I can move mouse and see stuff moving on screen but the hard drive light is permanently on and the hard drive stops making normal activity noises. It continues to work after about 5 minutes of being frozen but the problem re-occurs after a while of use.
