random freezing

hi there i wonder if anyone can help im as im at a total loss as to why the random crashes keep happening, can be at little as 2 mins upto hours.
I have check my memory/graphics card/ stress tested my cpu (3 hours) the voltages on my psu are with in the 10% difference.
Also it doesnt matter wat i am doing ie playing a game like lotro or simply looking at the web.

u know still sounds like a faulty hdd or sata cable...

id still run a quick test, reloading windows if all hardwares passed is a good idea also.

sometimes though it reaches the point of swap testing parts like another gpu/hdd even...

id also check temps via realtemp/coretemp software just in case...
 
I have already swapped out the gpu and the hard drive is new (did this with the old one)also I replaced the hdd cable, is it worth replacing them all ? The prog I used to check my temps and voltage was HWmonitor
 
I had a faulty (asus IIRC) motherboard that did this. Replaced with one from EVGA and all problems resolved. My symptoms were random rebooting, and this was on a non over clocked system running well within normal tolerances.

Very difficult to diagnose.

Of course do all the usual checks: reseating RAM, cables etc. first!
 
Just to say that it was my cpu that was giving me all the grief once again thanks to the people that took time to help/answer me :)
