Random hypothetical question - second hand value of power tools

Yeah, WTF, but I could do with some estimates...

Imagine you're an electrician. You buy a power drill for £100 and a tool box for £25. You use them for 4 months. Then you decide to sell them. How much do you get for them second hand?

I'd say it would depend quite heavily on the wear to the items, comparatively you'd expect the toolbox to lose less in percentage terms as it's less likely to wear out through ill-usage or even just normal usage. With most secondhand goods I'd guess at between 2/3 and 3/4 of the new price as being fairly reasonable but as mentioned it will depend on the usage.

Haha, yep, it's actually a tax related question.
