random/intermittent crc errors

Is it possible that my download speed could be the cause of this (up to 3mb a sec) as it is getting very difficult to try to pin down the actual cause? Thank you.

file downloads. Admittedly not very specific of me but I initially assumed it was my anti-virus somehow leading to the random corrupted files but I changed that and the problem still remains. I will eventually check hard drive integrity etc but was wondering if there could be something I haven't considered.

How about testing your RAM? Get MemTest86+, burn to a CD, boot up off it and run the tests and see what it reports back.
