Hi all,

I appear to be having a bit of a problem with my pc connecting to the internet at the moment.

I have a network in the house which my laptop and parents pc connects wirlessly to whilst my main pc connects via LAN. Now up until last night I had no issues at all. Then out of no where I turned on the computer and all I get is 'the network has limited or no connectivity'

Now to me this make no sense at all as I have made no changes to any of the network settings at all.

Wireless lan also presents me with the same problem.

I am completely stumped as to why it will not connect as it does not make any sense at all (it worked fine and now it doesn't despite the same settings).

Has anyone experienced this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For reference:

Ip settings are set to automatically detect (as are both of the other computers)

Both on LAN and WLan the network is detected yet has limited or no connectivity

Resetting the router does nothing neither does manually inputting the IP address.

Ok this is really annoying me now.

I have completely resinstalled windows twice to no avail.

All I get is the network has limited or no connectivity

This is rubbish as it works fine on both my other machines (lan and Wlan)

I have also noticed that the lan seems to take ages to load on my main machine (it crashes if I try to access the nework connection part of the control panel despite being on a fresh windows install).

I have no idea what is casuing this as no settings have been altered under my routers confirguration program.

Any help guys please I am about to pull my hair out. :(

Cheers

EDIT:

Its fixed.

Argh I don't believe this. My sodding onboard LAN on my motherboard is broken. Turned it off and the computer booted fine, all icons loaded quickly and no issues looking at the network connections.

Wireless is up and running as I type this.

Stupid daft problem with such a simple cause that has given me no end of grief (I didn't think it could be a hardware issue)

Oh well I can overclock my pc again now (thought it may have been an unstable overclock at one point, damn a 1.8ghz E4300 is so slow compared to a 3ghz E4300 lol)
