Centrino laptop no longer finding router after restart?
It is really odd. We have made no changes to the laptop, yet after restarting the computer our laptop is no longer finding my router. It says "No networks have been found in range". Another computer in the other room still works and I have tried unplugging everything (modem and router) and restarting them. Ive also tried disabling the adaptor (onboard intel 2200g) and still noting? Im currently using a Netgear PC Card to connect up and now it finds the connection and another router as well that I used to find a while ago but then it also disapeared. Can anyone expalin this? I am currently waiting for a new driver to download to see if that makes a difference.
EDIT: New driver had no effect and a system restore had no affect. I am starting to think the onboard wifi hardware is damaged? If it is a hardware fault, will they have to replace the whole motherboard?
EDIT 2: Got it working now. I stopped Windows configuring the connection and played around with the Intel program. After fiddling with that and renabling Windows to manage the connection everythings comming along nicely again
