Random lines when connected to my TV?

Hi everyone :)

Since upgrading my monitor from a Samsung T220 to a BenQ XL2420T I have noticed when I watch anything through from my PC but showing on my TV I get a line across the middle of the screen and occasionally going from the top of the screen to the middle, this only happens when there is fast moving images. It is quite a quick movement but enough to annoy me.

I am running a 7970 and have my TV hooked up via HDMI to HDMI. I change my display from only showing on my monitor to duplicating the display on both when running something on my PC but watching it via my TV. The monitor has a refresh rate of 120 Hertz and the TV only 70 Hertz.

This didn't happen on my previous monitor when displays were duplicated, it was inferior on refresh rates though. Is it a refresh issue or something else?

It sounds like it could be refresh rate issue.

I take it your tv is 60hz? I would make sure you have windows set to 60hz in your control panel.

The tv shows as 70hz in my display manager but it most likely is 60hz.

I'll mess with the refresh rates, so with both monitor and tv hooked up at the same time I should have my desktop running at 60hz?
