Random locks!

I've recently upgraded from 2 to 4 gig memory and instaled vista ultimate 64 bit, since then i've been getting random lock up's when playing games such as Alone in the dark and LOTRO,i have the memory voltage set to 2.1v and my NB V increased by .1 of a volt (1.35v if i remember correctly).
Now as i said i've set the memory voltage to 2.1v and in the voltage monitor in the bios it reads as just above 2.1v,is this a true reading?as i understand the striker extreme M/B's suffer from voltage drop?
If it is not a true reading could the lack of juice to the memory cause the lock up's?if not i'm open to any suggestion's,thanks all.

i'm not sure if RAM can cause hard locks. what is the memory voltage rated at ? might be 1.8-2.2v....in which case up it to 2.2v

what happens if you drop back down to 2gb ?

if it works then, might be worth breaking out memtest !

Well according to the web site i looked at corsair xms2 mem is rated 2.2v,my biggest fear is increasing it to much and doing some damage,is there a program available that tells you what exactly you have the voltage set at? as i am relying on the bios for my info.
I've got cpu-z but don't think that tells me their voltages does it?,as for going back to 2gig i never had the problem when i was just using 2gig so can only be the fact i've installed an extra 2gig or maybe a problem with 64bit vista?
