I've got a really odd problem with my setup at the moment. Every now and again i'll hear a loud clunk as if my hard drive has shut down and my pc will then stop responding. Eventually i'll get a BSOD and i'll have to reset it. I'm getting this once a week or so. Could it be my overclock? Even though i've tested it with Orthos? Or could my hard drive be on the way out?

Ever heard any defined ticking or clicking? Not normal access speeds, but specific determinable noises.

It's Vista Ultimate 32 bit OEM
When I had Vista installed, my slave drive often used to "power down" like it sounded when the computer shuts down. I think this might be some kinda power management feature in Vista, and might be worth looking into and turning it off.

I have tried turning off all the power saving options. I had noticed the odd click coming from my pc a while back, but it's not done it lately. Could be hard drive about to fail. Which drive though? I've got 3 WD SATA's.

;) That's the hard part. I'd say just back up all important data off them all and wait for a crash to happen, because if it is going to it will.
