Random PSU death?

Hello

so after building my new PC, i reformatted my old one to give to my dad, It has been sat in a box for 5 days until he ready to swap over from his one, I plugged it all last night, went to turn it on and nothing

I have hot wired the PSU and it does not turn on, it makes a click noise but nothing else.

It has a Seasonic SS-520GB inside atm, any one got anything else i can try? or is it safe to say its dead?

if so please spec me a new one, nothing expensive, it will need 2x 6pin for GFX card

Ok scrap that, i have pulled it out the case and it does power up, plugged it back in out of the case, and does not work

so im thinking it must be the Mobo? i have a MSI B85M-P33 in it atm

Check there are no bent pins on the motherboard cpu socket.

hello, have reseated the CPU and checked pins, still the same, after some playing, it seems that everything turns on until i put the gfx card in, then its dead, so still not sure

right used the one in my machine, and all working

so need a new gfx card
