Random Question about Switch/Hub

I've a Allied Telesis CentreCom FH716SW but I'm a little puzzeled
it says "dual speed hub" on front, on the site it calls it a switch, and on another it calls it switching hub and hub with switch module
anyone know if this is a hub or a switch?
also can anyone tell me what the hell the scsi ports on the back are for if its not managed?

deeper google shows it could be just a hub with a switch between the 10Mb and 100Mb segments

never heard of anything like this before?

was hoping it was a switch! been after a 16 port to replace all the 4-8 ports I've got
